LATASHA R. WARD

LaTasha R. Ward is a proven leader, small business owner, and community champion fighting for every resident of Prince George's County's 24th District.

Born at Walter Reed Hospital and raised in Prince George's County, LaTasha has lived in District 24 her entire life. A graduate of Fairmont Heights High School (Class of 1986), she led her team to the school's first Maryland State Championship in 1984 and was named PG County Player of the Year.

She earned a full Division I scholarship to St. Peter's College, earning a double BS in Business Management and Marketing Management. From 1993–2007, she worked with at-risk youth through diversion programs. She is owner of Go Promote You, LLC and Founder of The Solid Foundation, Inc.

LaTasha R. Ward was born at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC, and raised in Prince George's County, Maryland, where she has lived in the 24th Legislative District her entire life.

A graduate of Fairmont Heights High School (Class of 1986), LaTasha was an elite student-athlete who led her team to the school's first and only Maryland State Championship in 1984 and was named Prince George's County Player of the Year. She earned a full Division I athletic scholarship to St. Peter's College, earning a BS with a double major in Business Management and Marketing Management (1991).

LaTasha is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Delta Zeta Chapter, 1989) and became a charter member of the Eta Theta Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. in 2025.

From 1993 to 2007, she worked with at-risk youth in Maryland and Virginia. She is owner of Go Promote You, LLC and Founder and Executive Director of The Solid Foundation, Inc. — providing services for returning citizens and their children.

She's not running to become a politician — she's running to represent the people of District 24 who've been waiting for a champion like her.

Successfully advocated for critical safety improvements — crosswalks, signals, and lighting — throughout District 24 to protect residents.

15 years working directly with at-risk youth through diversion programs as a Counselor and Program Coordinator in MD and VA.

Founded The Solid Foundation, Inc. — providing wraparound services for returning citizens and their children. Still active today.

Democratic Leadership

Elected to Prince George's County Democratic Central Committee (2014–2018). Proven track record navigating local government.
